William D Davies received his angel wings on Sunday August 11, 2024( his mothers birthday) at his home surrounded by his family.
William was born August 7, 1937 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh to Lester and Mildred (Stoll) Davies.
William worked for Bud German hauling milk in cans and later turned into bulk milk hauling. After his father Lester passed, he purchased the family dairy farm where he milked dairy cows and farmed for 40 plus years until he sold the farm to his son Warren, which is now a 5 generation farm. While he was farming he was an AI Technician for ABS. After selling the farm, he worked for Bemis for 10 years until his retirement in 1998.
He and Marianne traveled extensively in 46 states throughout their years together.
Survived by his wife Marianne (Yoder) Davies of 66 years ( married August 9, 1958). Children Mike (Merri), Dawn (Chuck) and Warren (Mary). His brother Jim (Gloria) Davies, Sisters in law Judy (Bob) Jones, Margaret Yoder, Brother in law Dennis (Janet) Yoder, Grandchildren Jason (Cassandra) Banks, Alicia (Andy) Bradley, Shelley (Lance) Rhode, Joshua( Annie) Davies, Tyler Davies, Mitchell (Kate) Davies, Molly (Chad) Dilling, Eric (Kenzie) Stierna, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his daughter Suzanne Davies(passed May, 2, 2024), brother John Davies, brother in law Larry Yoder, his parents Lester and Mildred Davies and his in laws Perry and Ivalee Yoder.
Services will be held on Monday August 19, 2024 at Fiss and Bills Poklasny 865 S Westhaven Drive Oshkosh. Visitation will be from 10-2 with a memorial service to follow. A private burial will take place at a later date.
