William Geoffrey "Jeff" Davis, 79, of Gettysburg, PA, entered God's eternal care on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born May 1, 1946, in Chester, PA, Jeff was a son of the late Gordon R. and Salome E. (Alleman) Davis. He was the loving husband to Janet L. (Burns) Davis. Jeff was a veteran and served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He enlisted and earned a National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and a Viet Nam Service Medal. Jeff was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, Disabled American Vets, and VFW. He advocated on behalf of Navy veterans to try and get them approved for disability benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Jeff worked as a software developer for the Department of Human Services until his retirement. In his free time, he loved reading, researching, and learning new things. Additionally, he enjoyed working and being on his PC. Jeff also enjoyed volunteering for the Gettysburg National Military Park Watch program. He enjoyed taking people out on tours of the battlefield and reviewing history with them. In addition to his wife Janet, Jeff is survived by one brother, Charles Robert Davis. Jeff was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Gordon Michael Davis and Richard Alan Davis. Jeff is survived by nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his Alleman family cousins. Following cremation, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that memorial contributions in Jeff's name to Disabled American Veterans.
