William E. "Billy" Dawson died on July 3, 2024 in his home in Warren, NJ. He was 69.
Billy was born in Morristown, NJ, a son to the late Shirley (Steinmetz) and Richard Dawson, was raised and lived in Long Hill Township before moving to Warren 20 years ago.
He graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School class of 1973 and worked in construction for many years before retiring.
Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in his garden and was a fabulous cook in the kitchen and on the grill. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was pre deceased by his parents Shirley and Richard Dawson his siblings Richard Dawson and Janis Rocco and the mother of his children Margo Bartolotta.
Billy is survived by his 2 daughters Melissa Dawson and her husband Steven Perrins, and Erika Dawson, his companion Karen Naccarato, his step children Danielle and her husband Michael Ciarletta and Anthony Naccarato and his wife Danielle, his sisters Virginia Brown and Judy Dumas, and his beloved grandchildren Silas, Violet, Olivia, Juliet and Mia.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4-8 PM at the Valley memorial Funeral home 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Basking Ridge, NJ.
