William (Bill) Henry Duck of Atlanta, GA died on June 22, 2025, at the age of 63. He was born July 18, 1961 to Roger and Iletta Duck in Moline, IL. He grew up in Carbon Cliff, IL. He graduated from United Township High School and Moline Public School of Nursing as an RN. He worked for many years as an ICU nurse and eventually moved on to the insurance side of healthcare, but still very much involved with patient care. He retired in 2023.
Outside of work, he enjoyed gardening, home renovations and beach vacations. His home was originally built in 1920, but he had touched every surface while still maintaining the original character of the home. Even though he was allergic, he always had a dog. He will be missed by Clara.
He was preceded in death by his husband Marion Whitmire; parents Roger and Iletta Duck; sister Barbara Duck; brother Paul Duck and brother in-law Terry Buscher. He is survived by sisters; Pam (John) Lauper of Hollandale, WI; Karen (Skip) Chonka of Woodstock,GA and Liz Buscher of Algona, IA. Also 10 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Lost-N-Found Youth, The American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
Bill's passing was very sudden and unexpected, and he will truly be missed by his family and all those that knew and loved him.
