Chason Lang Mitchell

Chason "Chase" Mitchell, 55, of Marietta, Georgia passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on September 27, 2025, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born February 21, 1970, in Marietta, Georgia a beloved son of Olan and Patricia (Pat) Mitchell. Chase was a lifetime resident of Marietta, Georgia and a proud alumnus of Marietta High School.

After high school, he developed a passion for construction, starting his career as a Punch List Carpenter, he worked his way up to Construction Project Manager. He worked for several large home builders eventually founding his own home repair and improvement business. Over his career, spanning more than 30 years, he built and renovated countless homes throughout the Metro Atlanta area. His projects are known for their exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail.

A dedicated son, father and loving partner, Chase filled our lives with warmth, humor, and unwavering support. Kind, sensitive and tender-hearted, Chase was better at taking care of other people than he was at taking care of himself. He loved a good game of golf and running the table on friends at pool, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves. His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.

He was one of a kind and he will be deeply missed.

Chase was preceded in death by his loving father, Olan Mitchell, and grandparents, Arthur and Bertha Nell Mitchell and C.P. and Bertie Lou Darnell.

He is survived by his partner of 16 years, Donna Parker; his daughters, Emily Martinez (Angel) of Kennesaw, GA; Keera Barnett (Tom) of Croydon, United Kingdom; Morgan Mitchell of Marietta, GA and stepdaughter Savannah Parker of Denver CO. His mother, Pat Mitchell. His siblings; Dwayne Mitchell, Corolla Vandiver and Scott, Lecretia Barfield and David. His grandchildren: Chloe Michelle Mitchell, Fox Santiago Martinez, and a granddaughter that is soon to arrive.

In addition, he has many cherished aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends.

There will be a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5th at Lakeside Funeral Home (121 Claremore Dr, Woodstock Georgia)
