Robert Dean "Bob" Snyder, 95, of Atlanta, GA, was welcomed into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 24, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1929, in Ludlow, Kentucky, to Ira and Ora Snyder.

Bob was one of seven children-Edward, Betty, Wallace, Dick, Ira, Bob, and Carolyn. When Bob was just three years old, his family relocated to Atlanta, where his father worked for the Southern Railway Company. Bob graduated from Tech High School in Atlanta and later from Georgia State University.

From 1946 to 1954, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his service, he began a 46-year career with BellSouth, where he would eventually meet the love of his life, Claire Rash. The two married and shared 42 wonderful years together until her passing in 2020.

Bob and Claire made countless cherished memories traveling the country together in their RV during retirement. Later, they returned to Georgia to be near their daughter, Trudy McCleskey, her husband Kirk, and their family. To his grandchildren, he was lovingly known as "Grandaddy."

A man of deep faith, Bob was a devoted member of First Baptist Woodstock, where he faithfully attended services until the week of his passing. He was especially active in the Jack Campbell Sunday School class, forming lifelong friendships that meant so much to him.

Bob loved cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, enjoyed fishing, and treasured time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Ora Snyder; his siblings; his beloved wife, Claire; and his son, Alan.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Trudy McCleskey, and son-in-law, Kirk; their seven children, Matthew, Benjamin, Madeline, Bridget, Mark, Bryson, and Michael; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including two nephews named "Robert" in his honor.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Warehouse at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 11905 GA-92, Woodstock, GA 30188.

Bob will be remembered for his overwhelming kindness and gentleness and his faith in Jesus.
