William "Bill" H. Eaton, 83, of Union Mills, IN, peacefully passed away, with loving family by his side, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Miller's Health and Rehab, La Porte
Bill was born on December 20, 1941, in La Porte, IN, to Charles and Lydia (Wothke) Eaton.
On June 1, 1963, in Union Mills, IN, he married Donna M. Wolff who survives. Also surviving are his 3 children, Mark (Deborah) Eaton, Michael (Dena) Eaton, and Corey (Trish) Eaton, all of Union Mills; 11 grandchildren, Duke, Noah, Hannah, Austin, Jordan, Emily, Mikayla (Jon), Bradley, Hunter, Isabella, and Jett; great-granddaughter, Aurora May; as well as many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Clayton "Rock" Eaton and Cleo "Whimp" Eaton.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army National Guard, where he was honorably discharged in 1962. He held the rank of E3 in the Corp of Engineers.
Bill was the owner of Delta III, Inc. in Union Mills, IN. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Union Mills Post 295, as well as a member of the Scottish Rites and Masonic Lodge. Bill previously served on the South Central school board and was a zoning board member.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. In his later years, Bill enjoyed riding around in his golf cart, visiting family and friends. Bill and Donna enjoyed numerous Florida vacations together. Most importantly, Bill loved his family and the quality time he was able to spend with them.
A Celebration of Life Service, beginning with a Masonic Service, will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with David Howell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Union Mills Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Union Mills Conservation Club,100 Mill Pond Rd., Union Mills, IN 46382; Bethel Presbyterian Church, 110 Hamilton St., Union Mills IN 46382; or the Noble Twp. Vol. Fire Dept., 3788 W. 800 S., Union Mills, IN 46382.
