William "Bill" Eldridge, age 83, of Pearson passed away Friday, June 7,2024 at his home, following a long courageous battle against cancer, under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice.
Bill was born on October 7,1940 in White Lake to the late Romeo and Pearl (Cline) Eldridge. On August 2, 1972 he was united in marriage to Cheryl "Cherie" Erwin.
They resided for much of their life in Kenosha, where Bill was employed at AMC Chrysler. In 2002 they moved to Antigo and then for a short time resided in Appleton before returning to the area and settling in Pearson.
Bill had many hobbies which included woodworking, auto mechanics, hunting, cutting firewood, meticulously caring for the lawn, computers, and hunting. He was a loving and devoted husband and dearly loved his family. His faith and daily reading of the Bible sustained him.
Survivors in addition to his wife Cherie, include his children Cheryl Post (fiancé Patrick Birch) and her children: Kristopher, Joshua, Jamey, and Jessica Post, Laura Eldridge and her children: Tommy McDermot, Jennifer Radcliff, and Travis Hamilton, William Eldridge and his son Danny Eldridge,Tod Eldridge, Ben Boyd (fiancé Shelly Wallace) and their children: Dakota, Austin, and Lilly Boyd and Austin and Christian Wallace, and Joel (Vicki) Eldridge and their daughter Elizabeth Eldridge. Bill is also survived by his siblings: Beverly Guithes, Ruth (Jim) Brown, Darlene Balli (Al Quadraccia), Julaine (Mike) Messer, John (Linda) Eldridge, Dale (Doreen) Eldridge, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyle and Jerry.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 1:00 PM with visitation prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Pastor Jennifer Slater will officiate.
Interment will be in Lily Cemetery.
