William Pat Freer, known affectionately as Bill, passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2023, at the age of 51. He was a resident of Napanoch, NY. Born on July 26, 1972, in Ellenville, NY, Bill was the son of Leonora (Wilhelm) and Charles Freer.

Bill pursued his passion after graduating from high school in Ellenville by attending the Orange County Police Academy. In 1992, he successfully completed the academy and joined the Village of Ellenville Police Department, where he dedicated himself to serving and protecting his community until 2008. Following his time as an officer, Bill embarked on a new professional path by working alongside his father as a salesman for Charles B. Freer Jr. Firearms.

In his free time, Bill cherished opportunities to immerse himself in nature through fishing trips. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of both the Buffalo Bills football team and the New York Yankees baseball team. Bill also found fulfillment in assisting at Hot Shotz Pub alongside his beloved Danielle. Sadly, Danielle passed away in August 2021.

Bill is survived by his loving son William C. Freer of Napanoch, NY. He is also mourned by his parents, Leonora and Charles; siblings, Carol Kelsey and Michael Grote; and nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The visitation hours will be held on Thursday, November 30th from 4-8pm at Loucks Funeral Home in Ellenville. During this time, family and friends will have an opportunity to pay their respects and offer condolences.

In honoring the life of William P. Freer, we remember him for his dedication to public service as a police officer and for the love he had for his family and community. May his memory forever inspire us to cherish our loved ones and embrace each day with gratitude and kindness.
