William P. Gable, 87, of Bedford, met the Lord peacefully, free of pain and surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Bedford Post Acute. He was born on July 8, 1938 in Williamsburg, a son of the late Kenneth A. and Agnes (Najduch) Gable. On October 23, 1960 in Woodbury, he married the love of his life, Wanda L. (Ruby) Gable and filled the last 65 years with faith, love, and countless cherished memories. Along with his wife, he is also survived by a daughter: Jodie L. Kimble and husband Scott of Bedford; two sons: Jerri W. Gable and wife Jill of Lakeland, FL, and Jeffrey L. Gable and wife Beth of Bedford; five grandchildren: Peyton, Colin, and Asher Gable, all of Bedford, and Savannah and Logan Stroud of FL; a sister: Nancy A. Gable of Imler; honorary granddaughter, Aubry Hoffman of Altoona; and will fondly be remembered and loved by many nieces and nephews and cherished neighbors and friends whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by a sister: Madeline Garman, and four brothers: Kenneth R. Gable, Robert J. Gable, John H. Gable, and James D. Gable.

William retired from L.B. Foster Company in Bedford after many years of hard work and dedication and was an active member of Real Life Church in Bedford. He enjoyed hunting, camping, working, and spending time with his children and grandchildren, who fondly knew him as “Boppy.”

William will be remembered for his enduring faith, hard work, gentle spirit, and kindness. May he rest in eternal peace in the arms of the Lord.
