William F. Gallop, known affectionately as "Bill" to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 2, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas, Bill's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to every room he entered. His laughter was infectious, his passion for life undeniable, and his love for his family and friends immeasurable.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Vicki Gallop, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. He was a proud father to his daughter, Tera Harrison, and his son, Todd Gallop. His role as a father-in-law to Curtis Harrison and Lori Gallop was one he embraced with open arms and a full heart. Bill's joy was multiplied with the birth of his grandchildren, Sydney Harrison, Colin Harrison, Gavin Gallop, and Raegan Gallop, who will carry his legacy forward. His family circle included his siblings and their spouses, Bobby and Teddy Graham, Beverly and Gary Lynch, Paula Dalla Rosa, and Terry and Bob Rousselle; as well as his nieces and nephews, Misty and Chad Nichols, Dusty Douglas, Laura and David Haney, Wesley Cassidy, and Sarah Cassidy; and great-nieces and nephews, Jackson and Colton Nichols, Locklyn Douglas, Noah and Nora Haney, and Addison and Jordan Cassidy. Each of them held a special place in his heart.
An alumnus of East Central University, Bill earned his Bachelor's degree before embarking on a rewarding career as a teacher and coach at Putnam City North High School. His influence extended beyond the classroom and playing fields, shaping the lives of countless young individuals with his wisdom, encouragement, and fair play. Bill's colleagues and students alike will remember him as a mentor who inspired them to achieve their best, both personally and academically.
A devout Christian, Bill lived his faith through his actions and interactions with others. He was a beacon of light in his community, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. His commitment to his faith was unwavering and served as a foundation for the values he instilled in his family and students.
Bill's interests were many, but his love for football and basketball stood out. Above all, Bill cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
As we bid farewell to William F. Gallop, we celebrate a life that was full of purpose, joy, and love. Bill's legacy is one of kindness and integrity. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, teacher, coach, and friend. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
