William Grant "Bill" Gleason, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 13, 1935, to the late Adelbert and Mellisina (Wivell) Gleason in Hibbing, MN. After high school Bill enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for seven and a half years in Germany, England and Korea. On January 20, 1975 Bill was united in marriage to Yvonne Welch in South Dakota. He worked for Soo Line Railroad for many years until retiring. Bill was a very social person and enjoyed visiting with friends at the elderly center. He loved his family more than anything else in the world and never missed a day saying I love you.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; his sons, Harry (Julie) Gleason, Tracy (Brenda) Gleason and Russell (Amanda) Gleason; twelve grandchildren, Lily, Jacob, Trevor, Aylissa, Morgan, Mitchell, Isaiah, Andre, Sophia, Trevor, Steven and Madison. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and brother and sisters, Barbara, George, Jean, Helen and Tamson.
