William E. Grant, born January 25, 1943 went home to be with the Lord on December 9,2022 following a brief illness.

He was the son of the late William Grant Sr and Dorothy Grant of Claymont, Delaware. He was a graduate of Claymont High School and held a degree in architecture from Temple University. Bill was a partner in the Murphy Architectural Firm in West Chester, PA. where he worked for more than 50 years. He was a Navy Seabee and served his country well in Viet Nam.

Bill also served the Lord throughout his life, first as an active member of North Baptist Church where he was a trustee and a Sunday School teacher. Later in his life he worked enthusiastically and tirelessly to help plant a church in the Claymont community as part of an outreach program of the Atonement church.

Bill had many interests and hobbies including visiting historical homes and collecting model trains.

Bill is survived by Grace E. Grant, his wife of 57 years, a brother Charles of Claymont, Delaware and a nephew Brian of North Carolina, as well as many, many friends. Bill will be remembered by all who knew him as a good husband, a good brother and as a kind and generous friend.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at The Atonement Methodist Church 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, Delaware 19703 where friends may call between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
