William Harold Grose, 88, Orlando, passed away on Monday morning of December 9, 2024 at Advent Healthcare of Winter Park.
He was born on October 16,1936 in Bern, Kansas to the late William and Florence Grose. On May 25, 1959, William was married to his wife Carolyn Grose.
He joined the United States Army on April 22, 1958. He went through boot camp at Fort Scott Kansas and served at Fort MacArthur California till April 19, 1962. He was attached to the Missile Battalion Battery A 1st of the 56th Artillery in Brea California. Rising to the rank of Sargent on September 1, 1960.
He is survived by his children, Paula Jean Grose, William David (Tracy) Grose and Daniel Nolen Grose; grand daughter Jessica "Megan" Grose; sister Joyce Kalcic; sister-in-law, Patricia "Trish" Scates; Brother-in-law Ronald Elder and nieces and nephews. His ashes will be placed with those of his wife Carolyn as well as his mother and father-in-law William and Pauline Scates at Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlor in Birmingham Alabama.
