William R. Hart, 66, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born on May 19, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, he was the son of the late Robert and Betty (Hill) Hart, as well as siblings Luann, Diane, Robert and Marie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings and beloved wife Clare Taylor Hart and a great-granddaughter. William is lovingly remembered by his bonus children: Michelle Taylor, Candace Snyder and husband Ryan, Richard Strausburg and wife Kelly, and Robert Strausburg and wife Wendy, all of Lewistown. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings. A skilled craftsman, William dedicated much of his career to home improvement and spent over 22 years as a contracting professional at Lowe's. His passion for woodworking was evident in the many personalized creations he lovingly crafted for family, friends, and customers alike. He found joy in sharing his talent, turning simple materials into treasured keepsakes. An avid NASCAR fan, William relished the excitement of the races and the camaraderie that came with attending them alongside friends. His warmth, dedication, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown Memorial contributions in William's memory are respectfully encouraged to: The American Cancer Society, P.O.
