William Randall “Randall” Hayes, lovingly known as “BiBi” to those who loved him most, passed away on December 7, 2025. His life was one built on devotion—to family, to friendship, to his work, and to the simple, grounded joys of country living.
Born on August 30, 1963, Randall grew up in Troy, Alabama, and graduated from Charles Henderson High School, class of 1981. He dedicated more than 40 years to the tire industry, where he was known as a steady, trustworthy presence who treated coworkers, customers, and business partners with the same sincerity he showed at home. He believed in hard work, good conversation, and the kind of loyalty that builds lifelong relationships.
To most, he was “Randall,” the friendly face who never met a stranger. He had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel seen and welcomed — turning everyday interactions into lasting connections. He could talk endlessly about big trucks, big tractors, and bigger tires, and he always managed to turn even shop talk into an opportunity for laughter, storytelling, or friendship.
To his family, though, he was BiBi — the heart of the home, the storyteller in the recliner, the steady hands on the farm, the man who made ordinary moments feel unforgettable. The farm was his sanctuary. He found peace in watching sunrises and sunsets stretch across wide Alabama skies, often capturing them so others could share in the beauty he witnessed. His love for the land, his cows, and his horses reflected his quiet strength, patience, and appreciation for simple blessings.
Randall’s greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Rhonda Hayes, who walked beside him through every season with unwavering love. His children, Wesley Hayes (Brittany) and Amanda Shannon (Steven), carry forward the values he lived: loyalty, humor, humility, and love that shows up in action. His grandchildren — Emma Jenkins, Avery Shannon, Madison Shannon, Charlee Shannon, Cooper Hayes, Tate Hayes, and Hadley Grace Hayes — were the light of his life. To them, he wasn’t Randall — he was BiBi, their farm buddy, jokester, comfort, and hero.
He is also survived by his mother, Annelle Hayes, whose guidance helped shape the man he became; his brother, Rick Hayes (Missy); and his nieces, Hallie Hayes (fiancé Rob) and Kasey Atkinson (Bo), all of whom cherished his humor, gentleness, and unwavering support. Randall leaves behind his loyal dog, Jake, who never left his side.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvyn Hayes, and by his beloved grandparents, whose influence continued to guide him throughout his life.
Randall’s legacy is one of kindness, steadiness, and devotion. He was the backbone of his family, the friend everyone could count on, and the man who made every person feel valued. His presence filled rooms with warmth, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void — yet his influence lives on in the people who were blessed to love him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama, followed by a Funeral Service on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Hepzibah Baptist Church.
Though he has left this earthly home, Randall — BiBi — remains with those he loved most. His legacy isn’t just remembered — it is lived, every day, in the hearts of the family he cherished and the lives he touched with quiet faithfulness, humor, and genuine love.
The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hayes family.
