William D. “Bill” Henricks, 71, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home.
William Dennis Henricks was born June 19, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Dennis and H. Louise (Adams) Henricks. He attended Roosevelt High School and graduated from Emporia High School in 1971 and received his bachelor’s degree in business from Emporia State University.
He was joined in marriage to Margaret “Moggie” Tabares on February 3, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bill had worked as an insurance agent for many years for Insurance Planning Center in Emporia until his retirement.
He was a member of Victory Fellowship Church and was very active in the community. He was also a member of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce since 1990s and was a longtime Chamber Ambassador.
He loved hunting and fishing in Chase County and playing cards with family and friends.
Bill will be forever remembered by his wife, Moggie of the home; two daughters, Kellie (Christopher) Williams of Lawrence, Kansas and Regina Madrigal of Burlington, Kansas; two sons, Christopher (Hannah) Henricks of Topeka and Adam Madrigal of Emporia; a God-daughter, Channon (Chuck) Farrell of Emporia; a sister, Louann (Steve) Notson of Lenexa, Kansas; four granddaughters, Maddy and Mia Madrigal and Elaine and Marren Henricks.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday October 19, 2024, at Victory Fellowship Church in Emporia. Family will receive friends at the church an hour before service. Inurnment to take place later at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society - Hope Lodge Kansas City and sent in care of Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O. Box 43, Lebo, Kansas 66856.
