William Henry Harrison Neville IV

On April 19, 2025 William Henry Harrison Neville IV, Bill Neville of Alexandria, Virginia, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Francine Neville (Fran) nee Zuskin, Daughter Colleen Neville Falo, son-in-law John Anthony Falo, granddaughters Allison Neville McGhee and Taylor Anne Falo, sisters Susan Jones (deceased) Christine Taylor, Mary Pat Brake, Bernadette Neville Robinson, Mary Jo Neville Mortimer, brother Mark Neville and godfather to Kevin Love. Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Michael Jones (Shannon), his sister-in-law Sheree Riley, nephew Chris Riley (Meredith), niece Kellie Riley (Brandon) and their children.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bill was the son of William H. Neville, III and Mary Carr Torchiana of Philadelphia. Bill earned a BS in Business Management from St. Josephs University, Philadelphia and a MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University, Madison New Jersey. After serving his country in the Army, assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division, trained as a sharp shooter and in field radar, Bill began a career in sales with Getty Oil and Motorola. Bill later found his home as a leader in the shopping center business holding senior management positions including as President of Charter Oak Partners and Horizon Eastern Region. Bill was proud to manage shopping centers in Fort Worth, Texas, Cherry Hill, New Jersey and New York City in his role as Vice President/General Manager at The Rouse Company.
Bill was an impeccable, classic dresser finding a starched white shirt to be comfortable in almost any setting including when cutting the grass. It was, however, his charismatic personality and empathetic charming style that meant that once you met Bill, you would never forget him. He would remember your name, details of your life and bring you into the folds of his heart. Bill kept a tight circle of friends from St. Bernadette of Lourdes Grade School, and Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA all of whom mourn his passing but rejoice in the joy he brought to their lives. Those friends include John Floyd, Bob Bellenghi, the late George Avery, Bill McDermott, Paul Porreca and others from Drexel Hill and his close friend Chris Love.
Bill led the management of the opening of South Street Seaport in New York City, diffusing difficult situations with ease and humor. Bill was naturally very funny with a warm, quick wit that left a lasting impression on those he knew and new people he met. An avid runner, Bill traveled with his wife Fran to the Netherlands, the U.K., Switzerland, Italy and Belgium. His favorite place was on any beach especially in Bermuda, the Caribbean, Point Pleasant New Jersey and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. An avid reader, Bill absorbed the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. Rather than research by google, friends and family were known to just ask "Bill, the encyclopedia." His wife Fran and daughter Colleen feel the love he brought to their lives. Bill was a force and someone everyone emulated. His family and friends will keep his spirit alive by sharing the fun stories of our lives with him.
