William F. Herrman

William "Bill" Herrman, United States Army Veteran, passed away on May 17th 2025 at Stella Maris. He is the beloved husband of Jeannette A. Herrman and devoted father of Bill Herrman and wife Laura, Mark Herrman, Suzanne Cox, Terry Herrman and the late Diana Herrman. Loving grandfather of Leigh Anne Patchak and husband Michael, Heather Schoolcraft and husband Andrew, Brittany Pilachowski, Fred Wirsching, Molly Wirsching, Karrie Herrman, Kyle Herrman, Nicole Koontz and husband Zack, Christine Rolfe and husband Jamie, and Emily Herrman. Also survived by many great grandchildren.
William "Bill" Herrman is one of those very special people who everyone wanted to be around. Bill was a mild-mannered kind, strong, funny, smart & talented man who loved the Lord. Bill was a handyman at heart and he owned a construction company for most of his adult life. He built everything from his family's furniture to working at major commercial jobs all around the Baltimore area. If it has a ceiling in it, then you can bet Bill most likely had a hand in installing it. At least that's what his kids say since he seemed to point and proclaim that he "put the ceiling up" in every building around town! Bill loved his 5 children and he gave them the world. From breeding and showing Irish Setters, to owning and riding horses. He helped build the Little Rider's Ranch show ring so that his kids could have a fun and healthy hobby to enjoy. He himself even became known as one of the "Smith Brothers" when he and his friend teamed up in partnered riding events! And when that hobby ran it's course, he took the family across the country, and even moved to Florida for a short time. Bill was an adventurer! In his later years Bill remarried Jeanette Herrman, and together they owned and operated a beautiful rental home in Ocean City, NJ for 41 years. They loved to spend every free minute they had up there walking the boardwalk and living the beach life together.
Everywhere Bill went he was loved and welcomed with open arms. Even near the end he was known as the nursing staff's favorite patient. His warm, honest & down-to-earth spirit will be terribly missed by so many people. And his loving legacy will live on through the lives of everyone who knew and loved him!
Family and friends may call the funeral home, 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (beltway exit 29B) on Friday, May 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. All are invited to attend Funeral Services on Saturday, May 24th in Parkville Baptist Church at 10a.m. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
