William Horstmann, age 94, passed away on February 24, 2023.
William (Bill) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Irene Horstmann.
Bill married Carmen Castells of Guayaquil, Ecuador on November 26, 1953 in Clarksville, Tennessee where he was stationed in the Airforce during the Korean War. When his service time ended, they moved to Cincinnati.
Bill is survived by his wife Carmen Horstmann, his son Ted Horstmann, daughter-in-law Tracy Horstmann, and his grandson Quinn Horstmann.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Irene, and his brother Donald, and sister-in-law Carol.
Bill was a loving and caring husband, son, father, and friend. He expressed his love for others with his generosity and kindness. He had a great sense of humor, and tried often to get people to laugh. Bill's passion was model railroading. He was a member of the Cincinnati Division 7 Mid Central Region of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) for over 50 years.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2023, from 10:00AM until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00AM at St. Susanna Catholic Church (616 Reading Road Mason Ohio, 45040.) Graveside service will take place following Mass at Arlington Memorial Gardens Memorial Park (2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231).
In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society.
