William Madison Hurlburt, affectionately known as William to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Paris, Texas. Born on June 13, 1942, in Olney, Texas, he was an individual who exuded kindness, creativity, and generosity throughout his 82 years of life.

A skilled builder in construction, William's professional life was marked by the structures he crafted and the communities he helped to shape. His hardworking nature and visionary talent left an indelible imprint on the industry, and his influence extended to his involvement in various associations, where his guidance will be sorely missed.

At home, William was a pillar of strength and love. He is survived by his cherished daughters, Glenna Hurlburt, Alice Palmer, Kim Graham, and Billie James. His legacy continues through his grandchildren – Bradley Hurlburt, Thomas Barnes 2nd, Robert Clement, Jeremy Stockton, Andrew Graham, Cody Graham, Bionka Erwin, Misty Woody, Cordelle James, and Dakota James, each of whom he adored. William's memory will also be treasured by his brothers, Eddie, Junior, and James Hurlburt, and his sister, Chunky Eden. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Hurlburt, his parents L.L. and Jewel Hurlburt, his brothers Dean, Pete, Neal, and Joe Hurlburt, his sister Annie 'Duck' Della, and his grandson Wesley Stockton, William is now reunited with them in a place of peace.

William's life was a testament to the power of human warmth and compassion. His generous spirit touched many throughout his years and made him a cherished figure in the lives of family and friends alike. Indeed, to be in William's company was to experience his remarkable ability to elevate the spirits of those around him.

As the sun sets on a life well-lived, we bid farewell to William Madison Hurlburt, knowing he will continue to inspire us and that his memory will always evoke smiles and fond recollections. The legacy of his heart and hands will stand, both in the structures he built and in the indomitable spirit he instilled in all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A life marked by creativity and kindness; William has left this world better than he found it, and for that, his memory will forever be cherished.
