William Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dettling Funeral Home on Jul. 12, 2022.
William Blake (Bill) Jackson, age 44- Star Wars aficionado, drummer, lover of classic rock, and amazing Cat Dad of his precious Jabba Girl- left his earthly life unexpectedly on June 26, 2022. Bill was born in Houston, TX, and spent his public school years in the Alief School District, where he excelled in academics and sports. Even as a little kid, Bill was forever entertaining us with his impersonations, comedic anecdotes, and uncanny cartoons that featured Biff, a character he created. He was a joy to us all.
Following graduation from Hastings High School, he attended Texas A&M majoring in environmental design, pursuing his creative spirit. Bill moved to the Washington D.C. area after graduation and embarked on a career as a visualization specialist, pioneering 3-D animation presentations for clients, recently relocating to his native Houston to work in the same field. He was a talented and innovative team member and asset to the several companies he worked at during his career.
We honor and remember all those in our families who have gone before us. Bill leaves behind his parents, Joy Noble (Gary), and Mike Jackson (Phyllis), as well as his brother, Jeff Jackson (Myra); nephews, Landon and Mason Jackson, maternal Grandmother Jean Land, aunts, "Cricket" Johnson (Waverly III), and Sally Rasmussen (Bob). He leaves an empty hole in the hearts of his beloved cousins, Waverly Johnson IV, Peyton Johnson, Christian Rasmussen, and Lt. William Rasmussen, all of whom he treasured dearly. Also, he will be greatly missed by Aunt Kay Holland (Bobby), in addition to cousins, Shannon Judge and Brandon Holland, as well as step-brothers, Lance McLeod (Kristi), and Brett McLeod (Nicole), and their children, Grayson and Sienna. Bill also is survived by his step-sister, Lauren Cristy (Clay), and step-brothers, Reagan Noble (Stephanie), and Jared Noble (Kim).
A gentle, sweet soul has found peace in his heavenly home- "May the force be with you" Bill until we meet again. You were fiercely loved.
A Private family memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions in Bill's memory to Houston SPCA at www.houstonspca.org and Citizens for Animal Protection at www.cap4pets.org
