William Jacques, Jr., affectionately known as Bill to his family and friends, passed away on September 20, 2025 in Red Bank, NJ with his family by his side. Born on August 5, 1945, in Manhattan, New York. Bill lived a life marked by devotion to his family, service to his country and dedication to the Keansburg Community.
Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Winifred (McGinnis) Jacques and his brother Dennis.
Bill was the beloved husband of Pamela (Mulea) Jacques, with whom he shared 53 cherished years. Together they raised two daughters, Kimberly Jacques and Tara and Owen Kelly. Bill also leaves behind his four-legged "pal" Finley.
After graduating from Middletown High School, Bill enlisted in the Army where he served his country with honor in the 375th Army Security Agency Company from 1964-1968. Bill worked for the Keansburg Police Department as a Special Police officer for two years while also working as a lineman for Verizon retiring in 2008 after 39 years of work commitment.
Bill's dedication and volunteerism to the Keansburg Community was evident in his 56 years of dedicated service to the Keansburg Fire Department. Bill joined the Keansburg Fire Company #1 in July 1969. He rose through the ranks and became Chief of the Department in 1982, a position that he took great honor in while serving the residents of Keansburg.
In his spare time, you could find Bill tinkering around in his shed, playing practical jokes on any unsuspecting victim, sneaking snacks to his "pal" or just having breakfast out. Bill's memory will continue to live on in all that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, 4:00pm-8:00pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown.
