William H. Lashley Jr.

William H. Lashley, Jr, 93, of Hendersonville NC passed away October 11, 2023. He had been in Hospice at the Veterans Hospital in Asheville, NC. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Smith; his children, Sandra Lashley, William Lashley, III, & Frederica Lashley; and his granddaughter, Channa Alterman.
Bill served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, was a Deacon at the Mills River Presbyterian Church, and a lifelong resident of WNC. He worked in the furniture/woodworking industry for Three Mountaineers, English Lumber, Educational Lumber and as a self-employed master carpenter and craftsman.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday October 21st at Riverside Cemetery in Asheville NC. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that memorial donations be made in Bill's name to FIRSTWNC (P.O. Box 802, Asheville, NC 28802 or https://firstwnc.org/).
Groce Funeral Home's Lake Julian team is assisting the family.
