William B. Layson, 86, an Owensboro native of Pettit, fell asleep in death on November 29, 2023. – John 11:11
Bill enjoyed the attentive care of his devoted wife, Peggy Mae, for 67 years. Their children are Peggy Ann, Connie Faye, Bill, Pamela Jo, Mary Jane, and Kenneth Ray. He was the big brother of Joe Layson and Mary Stiles.
Bill worked for decades as a carpenter. Area dams, overpasses, smokestacks, and other construction projects are also a part of the legacy he leaves behind.
A big shout out of thanks and gratitude to the army of caregivers that helped Bill in more recent years.
The family will be hosting a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 4 PM on December 17. 2208 Tamarack Road, Owensboro, KY 42301.
