William "Bill" Bailey Lindquist, 82, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away quietly on May 20, 2024. He was born on March 4, 1942, in Waterloo, Iowa.

Out of high school, Bill joined the Air Force and achieved a 20-year career, receiving his Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University. After retiring from Kirtland Air Force Base, he worked in software development/testing and reliability at several multinational corporations, such as Microsoft, Bally's and Intel.

Bill was passionate about cars and motorcycles; his great pride was rebuilding a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air convertible. He was also a motorcycle member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) and Old Coots on Scoots, Chapter 23. He especially enjoyed playing Santa's Elf during Christmas group rides to UNM Children's Hospital and assisted living facilities passing out gifts.

Bill is survived by his two children and three grandchildren. His second wife, Josephine Kaufman preceded him in death. Her daughter, Elena Kaufman and her husband Dave O'Hara reside in Gilbert, Arizona. He is also preceded in death by his parents, June and Kirk Lindquist of Las Vegas, Nevada. His first wife, Nancy Brunson, mother of his children resides in Rio Rancho with husband, Richard Brunson. Bill and Nancy's son, Bill Lindquist Jr., and his partner Timothy Kidd reside in Los Angeles, California. Bill and Nancy's daughter, Julia Marie Lindquist, resides in Rio Rancho. Her three sons and Bill's grandsons are Zachary Bland of Santa Monica, California, Nathan Bland of Worcester, Massachusetts and Nicholas Bland, Albuquerque.

A memorial service and celebration in honor of Bill Lindquist will be held on Friday, June 7, starting at 9:45 am with Bill's Last Ride arrival by members of GWRRA and Old Coots on Scoots at FRENCH-Westside, 10:00 am service begins in the Cielo Azul Chapel with an 11:00 am reception to follow at the same location.

FRENCH-Westside has been entrusted with the arrangements for Bill's final farewell.
