William "Mark" Lynch

William "Mark" Lynch, 61 of Fulton, Missouri, died May 12, 2023, in Mineola, MO after a lengthy battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Mark was born May 4, 1962, in Fulton, Missouri to John Madison Lynch and Martha Sue Lynch. Mark was raised in Fulton on the State Dairy Farm managed by his father.
Mark graduated from Fulton High School and attended the University of Missouri Columbia. Mark was a lifelong employee and Manager of Gasper's Truck Plaza. While in High School, he was hired by the one and only "Mrs. Lottie Gasper" and continued to call Gasper's home for more than 35 years. Mark always had a special place in his heart for the Gasper's family and truly enjoyed being a lifelong team member within the Gasper family business. Most of all, Mark enjoyed the provision and privilege of caring for his hometown community of Fulton, Missouri through the services and products provided by Gasper's Travel Plaza. Mark enjoyed the daily interactions with the regular morning crowd, including teachers and nurses that would stop for fresh coffee on their way to work in surrounding counties. In addition, Mark loved talking to all of the drivers and vendors that traversed the great state of Missouri and the entire United States, moving products, produce and supplies that make America work. Mark enjoyed everyone that found their way to Gasper's, including celebrities, politicians, and clergy. However, Mark loved staying connected to his Gasper/Atkinson family and Callaway County friends.
Mark was an avid gardener with a real green thumb. His horticultural patience and persistence, produced many bushels of tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers, as well as an array of specialty beans and especially sharing the fruits of his labor. He spent hours picking asparagus that spread far beyond the borders of his garden. Mark also enjoyed the company of his kitty cats. His last rescue was "Miss Twister" that was a stray kitten that he found wandering the parking lot at Gasper's.
Mark is survived by his two older brothers, John Lynch (Beverly) and Dr. Sam Lynch, DVM (Cindy Beth), as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, MO. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Liberty Cemetery near Martinsburg, MO.
