William Allen Mackovick

Boardman - William "Bill" Mackovick, age 52, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and deep devotion to his family.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Bill found peace and joy in nature. He loved hunting and fishing, and some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors, where appreciation for the land came naturally to him. These moments often became cherished memories shared with family and friends. Bass fishing was his passion and as an accomplished competitor, he won many tournaments over the years.
Bill was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering sense of responsibility. He worked hard not for recognition, but to provide and to ensure the well-being of those he loved. His generosity knew no limits-he gave freely of his time, his resources, and his heart. Thoughtful and kind, he was always thinking of others, often putting their needs before his own.
Family meant everything to Bill. He was a constant source of support, encouragement, and love, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His actions spoke louder than words, and his quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to be part of his life. He deeply cherished family traditions, finding great meaning in time spent together, shared stories, and the rituals that brought everyone closer.
He is survived by his soulmate and devoted partner of 18 years, Amanda McGrath; his beloved father and mother, Robert and Amelia Mackovick; his brother, Robert Mackovick II (Tracy); two sisters, Jennifer and Julie Mackovick; two nephews, Robert Mackovick III (Bianca) and Brandon Mackovick; and a large extended family who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward.
The family asks those who want to honor him to do something kind or generous for someone you know or spend time at your favorite outdoor spot and think of him.
Though he is no longer with us, Bill's legacy of generosity, hard work, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Bill will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours..
