William B. Marine, affectionately known to most as "Bill" and known to his immediate family as "Papa", went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on February 24, 2025. For days leading up to his homecoming, he was surrounded by so many who love him. For as much as he gave throughout his earthly life, whether it be unwavering love to his family, compassion to others, time and service to his community, generosity to the local church and to the Kingdom of God abroad, he received an overflow of love and thanks from friends and family in his final weeks on this earth. His family is deeply thankful that he knew and loved the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The knowledge that he spends eternity with the One who saved his soul, Jesus Christ, the One who prepared a place in heaven for him, and as He promised, came and took him to Himself, his family is overjoyed with thanksgiving. The grief we all feel is a testament to the profound affect his life on this earth was lived and the way he loved and cherished so many. But our rejoicing is in his salvation and eternity. Our rejoicing is in the fulfillment of God's promises to us. Bill stands, fully healed, fully restored, in the very Glory of God. This is the Hope we all have when our trust and faith is found in Jesus.
Please join us to Celebrate His Life on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Bill's beloved hometown church, First Methodist Church Vero Beach, 1750 20th Street. A reception will immediately follow.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to First Methodist Church Vero Beach. Earmark checks to "Marine Missions Fund."
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:"Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."
Isaiah 6:8 NKJV

I've had the honor, over the past 20 years, to know two men about whom it could be said "they never said a bad word about anyone and no one could say a bad word about them". Will miss those late afternoon 9 hole walks.

Dear Marine Family
My memories of Bill and his Family always bring me back to the third floor at our Grandparent's home and burning off all our energy at the Village Green.
We grew up and lost touch with one another but I know we will all meet up once again at the Village Green.
Peace and love to your family at this difficult time.
Love Leslie

I will never forget confiding in Bill about a problem my child was having academically...His response.."May I speak with him?" He took the time to encourage, share, and lift my child up to a whole new way of thinking and feeling. I was and am forever grateful for this small gesture which was huge. Prayers for peace to his beautiful family...may all the beauty you shared heal your hearts. Rest in peace, Bill.
