William Edward McDonald, affectionately known as "Bimbo," passed away on May 30, 2025, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on April 9, 1955, in Bowling Green, where he lived most of his life. Known for his warm-hearted nature, Bimbo leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his family and friends.
William had a passion for the great outdoors; he loved hunting and fishing, often finding solace in nature. In his downtime, he enjoyed working in his garden and watching the various birds that visited. Some of the fondest memories shared by his family include sitting on the back of his truck, enjoying the simple moments together.
He is survived by his beloved mother Frances McDonald. William is also survived by his sisters, Donna Meador, Jeanette Carter, Cathy (James) Cox , and Karen McDaneld, as well as his brothers Danny (Peggy) McDonald, Terry (Janice) McDonald, Kenny (Vickie) McDonald, and Gary McDonald. He is the proud father of Miranda McDonald and Cory (Brandi) McDonald, and a devoted grandfather to Quavion and Kaylee McDonald (Miranda's children) and Allie and Jordan McDonald (Cory's children).
William was predeceased by his father, William (Dan) McDonald, and by his sister, Judy Ann, and brother, Rickey McDonald.
A visitation with family will be held on June 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY, 42104. A funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. William will then be laid to rest during a burial service at White's Chapel, located at 1195 Duncan Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42103, starting at 2:30 PM and concluding around 3:30 PM.
In this time of sorrow, William Edward McDonald will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and love for nature. His spirit will continue to live on within the hearts of all who knew him.
