William Michael Meyer, affectionately known as Mike, passed away on October 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas – the city where he was born, raised, and spent most of his life. He was 57 years old.

Mike was a man of deep conviction and radiant kindness. His life was guided by authenticity, compassion, fairness, and loyalty – values he lived every day and instilled in those around him. He made everyone feel seen, heard, and appreciated – whether you were family, friend, or stranger – and had a remarkable way of making you feel like you belonged. His presence was a gift, his words a comfort, and his spirit a light.

Mike's legacy is one of love – spoken openly, shared generously, and lived fully. He told everyone he loved them, and he meant it. He never missed a chance to make someone feel special.

Above all, Mike's greatest passion was his family. He is survived by his former wife, Renee Meyer, and their three sons: Joshua, Jake, and Carson – his pride, his joy, and the center of his world. His children are deeply thankful for the way he molded and shaped who they are, and for the love of movies they shared together. Joshua especially cherishes the bond they formed over film, crediting his own love of movies to his father. Mike also believed strongly in the value of team sports, encouraging his sons to participate so they could experience camaraderie, discipline, and teamwork.

He also leaves behind his loving parents, Patricia and Adolph Meyer, and his brothers, Paul and Jason, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter, loyalty, and unforgettable moments. Whether it was backyard barbecues or quiet conversations, Mike's bond with his family was built on mutual respect and deep affection. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his memory will continue to echo in the stories they tell and the love they carry forward.

Mike had a deep love for professional sports and enjoyed all kinds of athletic competition. He was a devoted fan of talk radio, especially Houston's SportsRadio 610 AM, and admired Magic Johnson for his charisma and leadership on and off the court. Mike also had a spirited interest in politics, always ready with a sharp take or a playful jab. He was known for his many funny sayings – little gems of humor that made people laugh and think.

Mike's military service was distinguished and honorable. He earned the Expert Infantry Badge and participated in Exercise Campaign Reforger, a major NATO training operation in Germany. His commitment to service reflected the same values he carried throughout his life: dedication, courage, and integrity.

To know Mike was to feel loved. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
