William Louis Monico

William "Willie" Monico, 69, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 15, 1956.
Willie was an avid sportsman. He loved football, baseball, and basketball. He was a Jets / Mets fan. He loved his family and his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuele Monico, and Mary McGowan Monico; stepdaughter, Loretta; brothers, Charlie and Tommy Monico; sister, Cathy.
Willie is survived by his loving wife, Diane Monico; stepchildren, Michael (Chrispin), Susan, Kevin; brother, Frank Monico; sister, Lisa Monico; 16 step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Joseph Bell will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, 1:00 PM, at the Eastside Church of the Nazarene, 3250 Redbud Dr, Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Eastside Church of the Nazarene.
