William Murphy Obituary
William F. Murphy passed away unexpectedly Saturday May 10, 2025. He was 66 years old.
Born in Philadelphia to William J. and Dolores Murphy, Bill, most fondly known as Brother and Uncle Billy to all, graduated from Holy Ghost Prep, and attended LaSalle University, and went on to become a successful manager in a variety of industries and companies, such as Avery Dennison, Café Nola, Toppers Spa and Salon, and Jones Apparel Group. In his younger days, Billy loved going to the shore and crabbing, and more recently enjoyed the challenge of solving Inquirer crossword puzzles, listening to music, spending time with family, and hosting his annual Thanksgiving feast. Billy is fondly remembered for his quick wit and his ability to have an entire room laughing with his stories and anecdotes, and also his great fashion sense. Billy was also beloved by many of his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and all their friends for his fun holiday activities such as pumpkin carving for the entire neighborhood or his special Christmas raffles with unexpected and silly prizes up for grabs. Billy also had a great love for all animals and was a favorite "uncle" to all his family's myriad of pets over the years.
He will be missed by all who love him; sisters: Lori (Patrick) Hogan, Colleen (Ronald Harrison), Maureen (Ambrose) Amoncio, and Amy Laub; nieces and nephews: Lauren (Michael) Morgan, Allison (Patrick) Hey, Amber Prusinski, Joseph Laub and Kammy Amoncio and great nieces and nephews: Sarah, Charlotte, Natalie, Kelsey, Brody and Nash, as well as many cousins, and dear friends.
Family and friend are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Richboro Newtown Rd, Richboro PA 18954, from 10:00am until the Prayer Service at 11:00am. Interment to immediately follow in Newtown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Lenape Valley Foundation Bright Path Center in Doylestown, PA.
