William Robert Parrish

William Robert Parrish, 76, of St Augustine, passed away on November 10, 2021 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Clearfield, Iowa. William proudly served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Army. After serving he worked as a farmer along side his family in Iowa raising hogs for many years. He went on to be a truck driver and owned and operated an over the road trucking company with his wife, Sharon. They drove with each other for 22 years and got to visit 48 states and Canada. He enjoyed going back home to Iowa to visit his family and friends. William was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon Parrish; daughters, Deena Lockhart (Todd), Dawn Courtney; stepchildren, James Weaver (Heidi), Angela Culbertson (Mark), David Weaver (Nikki) and Brady Weaver (Megan); mother, Dorothy Parrish; siblings, Dixie Meyer (Ron), Diana Hegwood (Phil), Deborah Boyer (Doug), Jim Parrish (Barb), John Parrish (Patty) and David Parrish (Connie), 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Parrish and grandparents, Fred and Ava Bruner.
Services will be held at a later date in Iowa.
