William Philippe Obituary

William D. Philippe

Visitation for William D. Philippe, 74, of Palatine, will be on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 12 PM – 3:00 PM at the Palatine American Legion Hall, 122 W. Palatine Road, Palatine, IL. The Interment will be private.

Bill was born on June 3, 1950, to Herman and Margaret Philippe. He died on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Bill was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of fishing at local ponds and lakes.

A longtime member of the Northwest Towns Sportsman's Club, Bill built lasting friendships through his shared enthusiasm for outdoor sports. Professionally, he dedicated many years to Efflandt Well Drilling before transitioning to a career as a heavy equipment operator with Midwest Operating Engineers, Local 150. Bill took great pride in his work and held deep respect for his union brothers and the values they represented.

The family would like to give a thank you to the entire team from Northwest Suburban Lung Associates, Northwest Community Hospital and Residential Home Health and Hospice.

Bill was the beloved husband of Dianne C. Philippe 25 years; loving father of the late, William D. Philippe, Jr; dear brother of the late Judith Castillo, the late Deborah Philippe, Robert (Shelley) Philippe, and Michael (Patti) Philippe; fond uncle of April, Kelsey, Jeff, Matt, Josh, Dylan, Chelsea, Troy, Nick and the late Dale; cherished great-uncle of Skylar and Levon.
