William(Bill) Dean Pyles went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday July 8, 2024.
Bill was born on March 3, 1934 in St. Joseph, MO to William McKinley Pyles and Carrie Mae Parker Pyles. He attended Denison schools graduating from Denison High School in 1951. Bill proudly served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. William also graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors of Physics and Chemistry.
On June 6, 1954 Bill married the love of his life, Phyllis Mae Fulton Pyles, They spent 64 wonderful years together.
Bill's family was his most valued treasure and he spent many years making memories while enjoying his hobbies of hunting, golf and tennis. Bill and Phyllis enjoyed many adventures and vacations with their good friends Lonnie and Linda Ridinger. Bill loved to travel and soon after his retirement he jumped in his van alone and went on a months long adventure the western states of the United States. He spoke many times of this adventure particularly of the redwood forest in California.
Bill worked many years in the food grade oil refinery business for Safeway, Con-agra and Kraft Foods. He finished his career as an investigator for Child Protective Services of Texas.
Bill proudly served as a deacon at Hyde Park Baptist. He attended and served at many churches in the area throughout his life most recently being Calvary Baptist in Denison.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, brother Raymond Pyles, sister-in-law Evelyn Pyles, sister, Hazel Smith, brother-in-law Clayton Smith, and granddaughter Samantha Mary Rose Snider of Howe, TX
Bill is survived by his children Robin Lynn and David Snider of Howe, TX and Clayton Dean and Susie Pyles of Denison, TX. He has 5 grandchildren, Andrea Snider Matamoros and husband Steve of Sherman, TX; April Snider Mueller and husband Britton of Ardmore, OK; Gregory Paul Snider of Denver, CO; Tyler Dean Pyles and wife Summer of Josephine, TX; and Brittany Diane Pyles of Denison, TX and many great-grandchildren.
Family night will be Thursday July 11, 2024, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Fisher's Funeral Home, 604 W. Main, Denison, TX. Services will be Friday July 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Fisher's Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial, 5805 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
