William Taylor Rankin, 72, husband of Linda Carol Cox Rankin, Nicholasville, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025, in Stanford, Kentucky. He was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, on May 26, 1952, to the late Leonard Rankin and Helen Wells Rankin. William worked as a glazier for many years and was proud to be a United States Marine Corps veteran. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda; sons, William Anthony Rankin (Amy) and Morgan Wright Rankin; brother, Richard Rankin; sister, Kaye Floyd (Charles); and grandchildren, Rylee, Lilah, Christopher, Steven, and Timmy. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Taylor Rankin; and sister-in-law, Brandy Rankin. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, April 7, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Carl Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where family and friends will serve as bearers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home.
