William R Rasmussen

Rasmussen William R. "Bill" age 99 of East Troy passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 30th. Bill was born to Nels and Anna Rasmussen on the family farm in Wadsworth Illinois. He graduated from Warren Township High School in 1943. He served in the US Army in Europe during WWII and returned to marry his sweetheart. Bill and Ruth purchased their farm in East Troy in 1960 and remained there for the rest of their lives. Bill enjoyed bowling and golfing and was a member of the Troy Center Fire Department for many years. Bill was a proud farmer and loved his family and his farm above all else. He is survived by his children Judith, Thomas, daughter- in - law Joanne, Ellen (Mark), Betsy(Scott), and Janet, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, a daughter Sally, a son Arthur, and 6 siblings. A private service will be held at a later date.
