William “Duckie” Ridner, age 67 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky departed this life Monday, February 26, 2024 to be with his Savior while surrounded by his loving family at his home. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He was born in Jellico, Tennessee on September 19, 1956 the son of the late Thomas Leonard and Emma Jean (King) Ridner. HE had worked for Kroger in the Produce and Meat Department and was a member of the Church of the Living God. Duckie loved singing for the Lord and being outdoors especially with his family.
His parents; twin infant children; brothers, Lendle “Jimmy” Ridner and Graylon Ridner; and sisters, Carolyn King and Marilyn Rose Ridner precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda (Murphy) Ridner of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sons, Sammie Ridner (Wendy) of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Troy Ridner (Nesha) of Strunk, Kentucky, Benji Ridner (Casey) of Strunk, Kentucky, and Thomas Ridner (Melinda) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Tonya West (Allen) of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Toshia Burton (David) of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, Johnny Ridner (Dana), Freddie Ridner, and Scotty Ridner all of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sisters, Retha Creekmore of Strunk, Kentucky, Faye Garland of Lexington, Kentucky, and Sherry Kidd of Pine Knot, Kentucky; grandchildren, Destiny West, Tiffany Perry, Dallas Ridner, Tyler West, Silas Ridner, Tiffany Cox, Rachel West, Shyanne Ridner, Lucas Ridner, Leon Ridner, Isaiah Burton, and Waylon Ridner; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12pm Friday, March 1, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. David Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 6pm Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
