William C. "Willy" Rush, age 39, a lifelong resident of Mahopac, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1985, in Mount Kisco, NY, the beloved son of the late Christopher and Christene (Locmajian) Rush.

Willy was a proud 2003 graduate of Mahopac High School and went on to pursue higher education. He was employed as a project manager with AMP Communications in Oakland, NJ, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Willy had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for travel. A devoted and passionate sports fan, he cheered enthusiastically for the New York Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. He had a special love for fantasy football, heavy metal music, and a great meal shared with good company. Known for his infectious sense of humor, he had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and feel welcome.

Fiercely loyal and protective, Willy cherished time spent with his family and his wide circle of friends. He was the heart of every gathering, always ready with a joke, a warm hug, or a helping hand. His kindness, laughter, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.

Willy is survived by his sister, Chrissy Braunius, her husband Greg, and their children Gregory, Isabelle, Greyson, and Lilyana, as well as his brother Daniel, all of Lighthouse Point, Florida. He is also mourned by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Christene Rush.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 26, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Private cremation services will follow.
