William Serlin
William Serlin, age 86 of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 2, 2026. William, better known as Billy, was born in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Sidney and Jean Serlin.
Billy graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Bridgeport, where he proudly served as president of his fraternity. He honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserve. Billy joined his family's business, Serlin's Liquor Stores, which he operated for many years alongside his brother, Dax before they went on to build a successful limousine company together. Above all, Billy cherished time with his family, especially his seven grandchildren. He also delighted in his cars, entertaining a house full of friends and loved ones, golfing with friends, gardening, and relaxing by his pool.
Billy is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Diane Serlin; his daughter, Laura Pappas (Achilles); his sons, Jeffrey Serlin and Ethan Serlin (Pam); and his seven grandchildren, Jake, Jordon, Olivia, Sophia, Samantha, Brooke, and Matthew.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, Connecticut. Interment will follow at Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park, 183 Kings Highway East, Fairfield, Connecticut. Shiva will be observed at the home of Ethan and Pam Serlin.
