At this Holy time of year Bill comes to mind for all the wonderful attributes he brought to our friendship. We all will feel his presence as we honor the Birth of Christ. He taught everyone he met what it really means to be humble, kind and tell it like it is! Oh how I know his family misses him and so do I.
He rests in peace and I am sure embraces his wife and children and all of his family members and friends. He is a FORCE of nature that will always be around all of us. God Bless you our dear friend Bill, husband, father, Grandfather, Brother in Law, Uncle, Brother......We hold you in our fond
memories and in our hearts.

I've enjoyed knowing Bill in the last couple of years and reconnecting him to my brother-in-law Alan Connor. We so admired him from long ago at the Villa.

We all seem to go on in our lives yet there is a void too deep to overcome but with the love and kindness of friends and family our hearts are on the mend. There are so many fond memories to reflect on their lives and that is the peace of heart we can always go to. It is but a short time we have together no matter how many years we have so here is a big hug to Terry and the family as I smile on my memories of Bill. It is a place I like to go to! Love to all of the Shanahan Families.

Spoke to Arlene Pavey who claims to be responsible for bringing our dear friends to Orange County, She sends her very best regards for all the family. She said she was so honored to have met with Bill and Terry at his request.

The gathering of friends at the Orange County Memorial Service for Bill was very moving. So many Educators and Administrative CTA people paid their respects to a wonderful, generous and caring man who touched all of us in so many ways. As each person shared their recollections we all could sense the impact this one individual had upon all of us. He rests in peace knowing that we all loved his sense of fairness and that he stood behind his convictions! Thank you to all his family members for sharing his goodness with us. He spent countless hours helping to make the lives of others better and he usually made sense of the complex situations that would arise. Let us all carry on his work and keep his unending spirit alive through our good deeds. Bill was a soulful man and I will always remember him.

It was always an honor to work with Mr.Shanahan. He was spirit filled, kind, to the point and oh so witty! He was a mentor, a friend and an consumate professional who assisted so many students, teachers, union leaders and the general public, making a difference in all of their lives. May all his family members have Peace of Heart knowing how he touched the lives of so many people. His memory lives on in our hearts. I am sure he will be forever guiding us from the Heavens.

Terry, we are so sorry for your great loss. I enjoyed Bill as my teacher and then later as our colleague. May you find peace in the memories you have made together. For sure Patrick is regaling him with stories as Patrick used to do waiting for both of you in the Goffstown teachers' room. Take care.
