William Shipley Jr.

William Shipley, Jr., age 77, of Williamstown, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2025.

Bill was an early resident of Glassboro and Blue Anchor. After retirement he moved to Port St. Lucie, FL before moving to Williamstown. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later worked as an electrician for IBEW Local #351 throughout his entire career before retiring. One of Bill's passions was cooking. He loved to cook for family events and large church functions. His other passion was coaching his boys at a young age and most recently going to watch his grandchildren's sporting events. He had a heart to serve the Lord in church as a board member, Awana Commander, and youth leader. He also had a love for playing cards and board games with friends and family.

Dear son of Marian Shipley-Chauncy and the late William Shipley, Sr. Beloved husband of 55 years to Bonnie D. Shipley (nee Bates). Devoted father of Lisa Wise (Gary), Bill Shipley (Nicole) and Matthew Shipley (Katie). Loving grandfather of Thomas (Janean), Gia, Kaylee, Mackie, Emma, Maddie, Jameson, Will, Bryce, Brayden and great grandfather of Cooper. Dear brother of Tim Shipley and the late John Shipley.

Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, October 4th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Fellowship Bible Church, 590 Jackson Road, Sewell, NJ 08080 where a memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
