WILLIAM C. SHUTT
William "Bill" C. Shutt, age 99, of Deepwater, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Bill was born in Sherwin, Kansas on April 16, 1924 to Charlie Walker Shutt and Georgia (Phillips) Shutt. Bill is a combat veteran of the Korean War. He served honorably in the Army, achieving the rank of Corporal. For more than 25 years he was a meat cutter and in the meat cutters union. Bill loved his life of retirement that was filled with fishing, hunting, gardening, woodworking and his grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Georgia Shutt; wife, Betty Lou Shutt; son, Richard Shutt; daughter, Rebecca Herzer; and two son in laws, Mark Shriver and Ed Herzer.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Regina Shriver; daughter in law Carol Shutt; grandchildren, CJ Shutt, Darren Shutt (Brianna), Jackie Shutt, and Emily Weida (Dan); and one great grandchild, Caradyn Shutt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. A graveside service will be held following visitation at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 Linwood Boulevard Kansas City, Missouri 64128-2226
