Joan, Amy, Jill, Thomas, and Pete,
My apologies for the late posting as I just found Cousin Bill's listing here. Pam and I are so sorry for your loss. Billy was a man I admired as I learned more of life's challenges not many of us knew about that he overcame without a single complaint. Bill always looked on the bright side of life, and I'm sure his family was a great enabler for him to be able to do so. His sense of humor never waivered. I have fond memories of my older cousin back in Southie, and now much later in life Bill's communications were focused on his family and their many exploits. Bill cherished you all,
and he was blessed to have Joan and his children in his life.
I will miss him very much.
Cousin Al

My sincere condolences to Mr. Smith's family. I was lucky to have met Mr. Smith through my Mom who was school secretary at the Jr. High for many years. Mr. Smith became my teacher and more importantly, as I grew older, my friend. Loved running into him in town.
One of the funniest, kindest and most caring people I have had the pleasure to know. Rest in the sweetest peace. You have touched many lives.

Bill had a huge influence in my life. He was the major reason I became a history teacher myself. Bill valued relationships first and believed academics would follow. We all knew he cared about us. Smith family, please know that your family/spouse made a positive impact on the world. He will be missed.
