William Christian Sparkman, a 38-year-old Monrovia resident, left us on March 23, 2025, to join his father in heaven. Christian was born in September 1986 in Newport Beach, California, to William Glen Sparkman and Kimberly Gail Baker. He is preceded in death by his father, William Glen Sparkman, and his grandparents, William Jr. Sparkman, Dona Sparkman, Harry Baker, and Sally Baker. He is survived by his son, Luke Sparkman, and daughter, Leona Sparkman. His mother, Kimberly Sparkman, brother Tyler Sparkman, and sister Nishelle Moya. Nieces, Chanel, Kylie, Anna, Abby, Mila, Natalie, and Catherine and nephews, Junior, Major, and Houston.
He moved to Texas with his parents in 1990 and graduated from Lake Dallas High School in 2005. He had a passion for baseball and being a part of a team. He later met Summer, with whom he had two beautiful children: Luke and Leona. They moved to California from Texas in 2017. They married on October 30, 2019, in Laguna Beach, California, and settled in Monrovia.
He enjoyed anything outdoors with family, long hikes, and spending the day at the beach. Christian, or as some called him, Chris, was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, and this was evident throughout his career serving others. He had such an incredible bond with his family, and even if you hadn't seen him in years, it would be like you never missed a minute. Christian was someone you were happy was in your corner. Even if he wasn't giving you the proper instruction, he had the hype. He loved camping, family parties, and the Dallas Cowboys, but more than anything, he loved his two children.
Words cannot describe how deeply heartbroken our family is, and it is during this time we ask God to guide us through these treacherous waters. Waters we have treaded before, but not in this light. What matters most during these moments isn't avoiding the pain, it's having something to hold on to when the storm comes. Christian, you will forever live in our hearts. We love you endlessly.
On Saturday, April 12, 2025, a celebration of life will be held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, followed by an interment at Swisher Cemetery to lay our loved one to rest.
