Weep Not for Me
written by Kent Clark, November 13, 2013
Weep not for me,
For I am
The rush of the dove's wings breaking the silence of gray dawn.
The dusting of snow on the high peaks in early Fall.
The bellow of the rushing Tayler River as it begins its journey.
The rush of an aircraft down the runway seeking flight.
The sunset that fills the windscreen with colors beyond description.
The shadow of my aircraft into the center of a glory, filling our world with rainbow mist.
Friday Night Lights.
The sun's rays penetrating the red and gold of the oaks forming patches of brilliance in the grass.
The gentle rains of Fall.
The bright star in the sky that you wish upon.
Weep not for me
For I
have not gone.
