Warren – William L. "Bill" Stein Sr., 81, of Warren passed away on Monday morning, September 2, 2024 at Continuing Healthcare of Niles.
Bill was born in Youngstown, OH on December 22, 1942, a son of Virgil and Mildred Stein.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of Chaney High School and went on to have a successful career in engineering. He worked for Packard Electric for over 32 years, finally retiring as a Senior Project Engineer. Bill also had 10 United States patents throughout his career.
Outside of work, Bill was an avid golfer, getting out on the course as many times a week as possible. He also enjoyed nights out dancing with friends. Most of all, Bill cherished his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Bill will always be remembered by his sons, James Stein of Warren, Mark Stein of Columbus and William L. Stein Jr. of Bradenton, FL; six grandchildren; brother, Edward "Ted" Stein of Austintown and life partner, Elaine Shields.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Belinda Stein; sister, Patricia Dunn and brothers, Sonny and Jack Stein
Bill's family will honor him with Memorial Calling Hours on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 4 to 6pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm.
