William Thomas Obituary
Funeral services for William Olan Thomas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1315 Ringgold Ave., Coushatta, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held at Thomas Wren Cemetery in Martin, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Malcolm Smoak.
Olan was born on April 15, 1926 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Press Thomas and Laurice Thomas and passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 in Longview, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 69 years, Ellen Thomas; step-mother, Nettie Thomas, sisters, Theola Thomas and Laveta Cannon and brother, Rotin Thomas. Left to cherish his memory are his son, William “Skip” Thomas and wife, Letha; grandchildren, Andrew Robert Thomas and wife, Catie, Katy Rebecca Shaddix and husband, Cass, Roy Morrison and wife, Gena, Clint Morrison and Wes Morrison; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honoring Olan as pallbearers will be Jim Hewlett, Benny James, Jay Nieson, Randy Barrish, Lee Allred and Malcolm Smoak. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Roy Page, Jim Crowson, Gary Hawthorne and the Shreveport District Line Crew.
