Mr. William Archie Thomas West, age 71, passed away unexpectedly December 22, 2024 following a brief onset illness.
Born November 4, 1953 in Conway, Archie was the son of the late Archie Manuel West and the late Bella Aline Fields West. He worked as an automotive mechanic and enjoyed puttering around in his shop at home. Archie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved to go joyriding. Some lesser known hobbies to most are that Archie loved to bake and share his treats with friends and family, he was a die-hard GoodWill shopper, and he loved to sing.
In addition to his parents Archie was predeceased by his son, Jason West; his infant daughter, Ashley West; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Dougherty and Ken Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Cheryl West; his son, Jody West and wife Tiffany; his grandchildren, Ashley Kendall West, Shawna Renee West, Neal Stevens, Jada Ricks, and Marley Ricks; his great-granddaughter, Raelynn Marie West; his special son, Dylan Stevens; his brother, Timmy West and wife Kay; his very special brother, Allen "Peanut" Sanders; his sisters, Cheryl Dougherty, Phronsie Miller, Cindy West, and Debbie West; and his sister-in-law, Debbie Inman.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service for Archie at a future date. Please sign the online guest register at www.goldfinchfuneralhome.com

I only met Archie once before about a month ago when he came to pick up his pup @ the groomers where I work. He was so sweet. My heart goes out to his family
